How Can I Improve?
Published by Amybeth (@researchgoddess) at 11:00 am under Surveys
We all have room to improve. The person who feels he has arrived in actuality has the longest journey still ahead of him. That’s why I’m asking you to tell me how I can improve as a blogger.
This is not a rhetorical question – I am putting this question out there to get some feedback from you – those who read my blog and find some value in it. By now you know I write on a wide variety of topics that I think all tie back to doing some good in the world – whether it be helping people improve their job search, helping other sourcers with techniques, providing advice on networking or using social media tools, or just paying it forward. I want to make sure you’re getting what you need and/or what you’re looking for here, so please take a moment and leave a comment with some suggestions. And don’t leave a comment saying “It’s great! I wouldn’t change a thing!” I hate asking for feedback and getting that response because there’s always something that could be improved upon
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and share your thoughts!

Amy, have you ever thought of doing more video? How about a podcast series? Don’t think you’re doing much with that right now are you? I know I’ve seen some things floating out there before, but what about doing a dedicated one, building out your YouTube channel more? Just a thought since I know you’re already doing a great job with your articles covering job seekers, sourcing tools, social media, etc. Digging the fact that you guest post to Mashable every so often as well…which speaks to your skills! With video you could take any recruiting, sourcing or social media topic and run with it. I’ve been kicking around a few ideas there, but haven’t really turned the switch on yet.
for me, I prefer blog posts that are short but frequent. if i look at a post and i have to scroll down to see the whole thing, i might not bother reading it. short and sweet…that’s my feedback.
How about narrowing your blogs to a niche audience. Just an example…if you are into tech how about be a tech blogger who focuses on smart phone technology. Or if you are focused on PR how about B2B PR work. Then you can gain a specific audience to interact with on a regular basis. Just a thought
