About Me
Thanks for checking out my blog! I currently work as a Talent Attraction Manager with AT&T – my job duties right now keep me busy in social media, finding new and creative ways to attract and engage potential candidates. I also work closely with our Campus Recruiting team, helping to spread the word about our college leadership development programs.
I got started in internet research nearly 8 years ago. Please take a look at how I became interested in internet research to begin with – it’s kind of a cool story! I started off in 2002 as the sole researcher for an MRI-affiliated executive search firm in Ohio. After four years, I joined a recruiting franchisor based in northern Ohio as the Manager of Internet Research where I provided research support to franchise offices and implemented, customized, and conducted training classes for contact management databases, passive researching techniques and personal online branding. In 2007, I left the agency world and moved over to the “dark side”, taking a position with a PR agency based in Seattle as a Sourcing Strategist, where I helped increase the digital footprint of the agency’s staffing efforts. And, now here I am with AT&T…
In related activities outside of work, I am currently the Chief Editor for The Source Newsletter – the official news outlet for SourceCon. I am also deeply involved with local social media efforts – when I lived in Cincinnati I started the Jelly Cincinnati co-working group, and here in Bellingham I help organize the Bellingham Social Media group and the Social Media Breakfast Bellingham meetups. I’ve also had the privilege of speaking at SourceCon and the Fordyce Forum and have had articles featured on such well-known websites as The Fordyce Letter, ERE, Brazen Careerist, and Mashable.
I’m a University of Florida graduate (go Gators!) and currently I live in northwestern WA.
